Nobu was an exceptional local tour guide! Going on a tour with him was the highlight of my Japan trip! Not only did he customize the itinerary to my preference, he went above and beyond and gave me options along the way to cater even more to preferences. He is knowledgeable in Japan’s history, facts, culture, locations, restaurants, and tradition; I learned so much more from him than my weeks of research. It did not feel like a typical, boring tour, but rather, Nobu made it feel like I was immersed in Japan as a local as well. He is the best tour guide to take you on a unique journey and give you the best experience of Japan. His English and Japanese is perfect, and he speaks Spanish and Mandarin too, so there was no language barrier and the conversations were seamless. I highly recommend Nobu!

Nobu was highly recommended to us by friends who had recently been in Tokyo, and he was everything we could have hoped for in a guide! Having spent his teen years in the US, his English was perfect, and he tailored our tour to avoid places we were scheduled to see on another tour the next day. Instead, he found us some hidden gems! For the most part we used the Tokyo subway system to get around. And since it was our first full day in Japan, he gave us an on-the-fly transit orientation as we navigated our way through the system. He even knew where the escalators and hidden elevators were, to minimize stairs for my sister, who had had her hip replaced earlier this year. We said hi to the Godzilla statue and cocoon tower in Shinjuku, then visited Shibamata, a little town with a very 1960's Tokyo vibe, as well as a Buddhist temple with fabulous 3D carved dioramas and a tranquil garden. Shabushabu for lunch, then off to the Tokyo Skytree, with its panoramic views, although Mt. Fuji was shy, and stayed hidden that day. In Shibuya we saw the famous Hachiko the faithful Dog statue, and finished our tour at the busy busy Shibuya Crossing. What a fun first day in Tokyo to begin our Japan adventure! Like the friends we mentioned earlier, we highly encourage you to consider Nobu for your tour guide in Tokyo! 5 stars!!!
